Yet again i have been well and truly blown away by ANOTHER of Jack Whites' projects!!! This man is some kind of God, how can anybody be soooo talented??? Playing drums and singing lead vocals on a couple of songs, also he came to the front and blessed us all with a couple of examples of his legendary guitar playing, there can surely be nobody more talented in modern day music than this man!

:D:D:D
Black, the greatest without a doubt........

they're good. i just don't find it needed for him to drum for a band. stay out front where you know ya wanna be.
the girl i was with calls him the puppet master..i think it's appropriate

I think his drumming is fantastic, and Allison is fucking amazing.

Not that this should change your opinion, but I'm pretty sure I've read that drums were his first instrument. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If that is the case, I think it's nice for him to maybe reconnect with the original inspirado.

that's cool. i just don't buy that he wants to sit back and just drum. i dunno. doesn't seem genuine. can't explain. the show bothered me. i love white stripes and raconteurs..just couldn't get into this one

I personally think he's the most talented single mainstream musician out there today. But that's just me, absolutely amazing. As soon as you think 'There's no way he can top himself', he does.

  • I am not a big Jack White fan. I think he is very over rated as a guitar player. But I really like the Dead Weather and they were awesome in Austin.

Hearing and seeing live is very different.

I have seen him with White Stripes,Racontuers,Flaming Lips,Blanche,Green Horns and The Rolling Stones and going to see The Dead Weathers on Thursday in Edinburgh.

There is something about how Jack plays that I personally find mesmerising ... I get spine tingles everytime I see him play live and after my 26 years of gigging and seeing some of the best guitarists in the world that is no mean feit.
Jack is up there as the best of our generation.

Not a huge Jack White fan by any stretch of the imagination , but , having seen White Stripes, The Raconteurs(Bonnaroo 08) and The Dead Weather ( Austin 09) , there is no denying that A) he is incredibly talented and B) he is a very important cog in several kick ass rock and roll bands. Definitely on a three band win streak .

Seeing them this Friday... If the reviews I've been reading are anything to go by this might be one of the highlights of the year, gig wise.

  • Saw them at the ACL festival and really liked their performance. This morning I saw for the first time their video of "I Cut Like A Buffalo" weird but in a good way. Will def. see them again.

they are so much better live than on record. and their light show.. jesus christ, it's amazing. if they came out and only played Bone House and Will There Be Enough Water it would still be worth it.

I don't listen to much outside of the rock/blues genre, but I would fully agree with this statement.

are their any decent soundboard quality torrents floating around of any of their recent live shows??? they haven't come anywhere near my city and would love to hear some live stuff, as i've been spinning their album on a very regular basis.
