Black Crowes - Dallas 10/16

OK, so my 2nd fav band has played in the Dallas area like 8 times since PJ has been here so thank God for them. Awesome show as usual and the best (worst?) part about it was, I got into a fight! First time in maybe 100 concerts I have been to.

This jackass was really really drunk and then he started lighting up some weed. No big deal right? Well him and his jackass buddies couldn't keep in their place and kept leaning and falling into people and everyone was getting pissed and the jackasses were yelling and whooping it up and calling people pussies, etc. Well, this dude decided he was going to leave and on his way by me he grabs this girl that was in front of me. She was maybe 19 at most and really small. Well he grabs her from behind, grabs her boobs in both hands and starts grinding against her ass. She screams, so I grabbed this dude's shoulder and spun him around and punched him in the neck. He goes flying. His friend comes at me but my friend Robert and some stranger grab him and put him in a headlock. Finally after some pushing and shoving security comes by and removes the idiots.

Anyone that has ever met me knows I am not a big person. If that guy was sober he would have killed me. But he was so wasted he had no chance. The 2nd guy wasn't as wasted though so I am glad my friend and this other guy had my back. What is wrong with people? Why get so wasted at a concert that you don't even know where you are much less think it is ok to basically molest someone?

    Awesome setlist!!!

Flagg, you've got a good heart man. I totally agree with people getting shit-faced and being so obnoxious, that they ruin the show for other people. Grabbing that girls chest - absolutely unacceptable. It's nice to hear that someone like yourself took the liberty of standing up for her. What a fucking asshole. It just really pisses me off when people do shit like that.

Hope you had a good time regardless of the circumstances.

That being said, I am sorry you didn't get Sometimes Salvation :(...

I was at the Houston show Wednesday and it was awsome! This was my first time to see them and they really put on a great show.

Flagg, kudos to you!!! As a girl who goes to a lot of shows, it would be nice to have more guys like you around.

Yeah, it was crazy. And this was three songs into the set too. Right in the middle of Hotel Illness.

Unwritten rule for me at concerts is always look out for everyone else. Good job Flagg.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

awesome work, my friend!!! we had something similar happen during PJ @ ACL. i've been in a few fights in my life, but it's been awhile. i went from ecstatic to livid in about 2 seconds when a drunk jackass nearly knocked Laurel down while he stumbled through to get another beer.

good for you, man. that's awesome. what an asshole.

They are not the same without Marc Ford. Seen them 3 times before his departure and they rocked!
A good compromise, a good piece of legislation, is like a good sentence; or a good piece of music. Everybody can recognize it. They say, 'Huh. It works. It makes sense.'

They're different, but still nothing less than awesome. Warpaint and Before The Frost... have shown a great new style that The Crowes have picked up...

Luther may not be Ford, but he has filled his shoes pretty well if you ask me.

Luther is by far the best they have had other than Ford. I wish MF would have stayed when he returned but obviously there are some personal issues there.

Luther is a huge improvement over Audley Freed and Paul Stacey.
