Went to see this movie today with my girlfriend and my niece and nephew.
This was my favorite book as a kid so I couldn't wait to see this movie.
The movie isn't at all what I thought it would be.
Don't get me wrong,I really liked it but to me it just really isn't a kids movie.
My niece(10 years old) and my nephew(8 years old) both laughed at some parts
of the movie but through most of it they looked kinda bored and confused about what
"The Wild Things" were talking about.

Again,I thought it was a great film. The costumes worn by the characters looked really great.
I just wish it could have been more of a kid friendly film.
If anybody saw this movie let me know what you thought of it.

  • I totally get what you mean about it not being a "kid" movie. The messages were a bit to deep for most kids to understand and it was kind of slow to start. That being said, I brought my six year old and he LOVED it! He figured out a lot of the more grown up messages ( I was impressed!) the story was telling and even cried at the end! It was a great movie for a mom to bring her son. I thought it was fantastic and would recommend it....but not to the little kids. It would be too boring for them.

I'm kinda glad it's not as much of a kids movie. I dot think the target audience are young kids. More like kids my age in their 20s. Alot of people I know want to see it too.
