Anyone else here going through the college application process right now? I am...I'm applying early to Syracuse and this is just hell. There's so much you have to do lol. The writing, testing, more writing, ugh I can't wait for it to be over.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.

    funny you should say that...I was just helping my sister apply to Wisconsin today and it was beyond painful.

    do you have a better shot of getting into a school if you need NO aid? I was curious if rich kids got in more frequently because checks, not aid were being paid for tuition...just curious of my sister's chances of getting into Madison.

    colleges like to get under-privledged kids into their school, makes them look good because they're turning people's lives around.

    They have a predetermined amount of aid to give out to students, so the amount of aid a student gets or will need doesn't have any effect on enrollment. Not to mention it's a loan through the gov't, so the college will be getting paid no matter what.

    I had to do that last year.
    It wasnt to bad.
    I applied early to one school, got in, and didnt apply to anywhere else. :D

    I knw how much of a pain in the ass it is. MAke sure you stay on top of all your deadlines.
    And one more tip... DO AS MANY SCHOLARSHIPS AS YOU CAN!!!
    Its seems pointless when you are writing the essay, but when you go to college and your freshman year is paid off it fucking rocks! :D:D

    Hey don't feel bad. I graduated from University of Detroit-Mercy with a 3.87 GPA, but fell on hard times and had to fill out forms to help me get government aid and they were so difficult I couldn't figure it out. My bf, who is a teacher, also couldn't figure it out.
    I had no trouble filling out the forms for college, but but the forms for assistance from the gov. were a nightmare. I wonder how the hell foreigners, or people with a lower I.Q. fill those forms out if us college educated people can't.
    I'd rather fill out forms to get into college anyday than those forms for assistance from the gov. It amazes me even more that people actually get assistance after filling out those forms.
