clearly, this is a band who LOVE their fans and love to play live because they're basically working for free. i have to give them props because ... aaahhh-hahahahahahahaha!!! sorry about that. i really wanted to keep going but ...
When the group arrived in Birmingham on Friday for a 9:15 p.m. show at the BJCC Arena, the lowest rung of ticket prices had slid to 75 cents per seat, plus a couple of bucks in service fees.
Basically, the promoters were giving the tickets away, in an attempt to rustle up a crowd.
No denying that it must have been awkward for Creed, especially considering the band brought along a full-scale arena set-up: flaming pyrotechnics, smoke plumes, showers of sparks, an elaborate light show, a stage extension and large, clear video screens.
Someone obviously spent money on the mechanics, assuming Creed would return to its former stature and pack'em in.
That didn't happen here - not even close. Audience members were distributed into two smallish groups on the floor, and scattered amid the lower and upper tiers. Not a disastrous showing, just a rather sad one.
Maybe they should stop busting out the full-scale arena set-up with flaming pyrotechnics, smoke plumes, showers of sparks, an elaborate light show, a stage extension and large, clear video screens, and just focus on the music.
So the final discount tickets were about 1% of the original cost of tickets. Think how pissed those people must be who paid 100% of the ticket price when they were first on sale.... you're a big fan and buy your tickets early and you get screwed. Oh wait, they're big fans of CREED, so I guess in a way you deserve it. They just won't be able to buy an Ed Hardy shirt this month since they went to see Creed instead...

I HATE CREED'S MUSIC. I WOULD NEVER PAY A NICKEL TO GO SEE THEM LIVE. I AM NOT A FAN OF CREED AT ALL...
But I have met Marc Tremonti (their guitarist) a couple times at the NAMM convention in Anaheim, (he is a friend of a friend that I go to the convention with) and he is a humble, nice, very laid back, down to earth guy. I have never talked to him about his music or Creed or Alter Bridge or any of his music and he has never wanted to. He's a totally normal dude.
No real point, just a reminder that even though I think Creed blows, there is at least one cool guy in the band.

Hmm I guess its not worth trying to sue anymore when Scott comes on stage drunk and forgets the words to all his shitty songs. Going to casono tommorow, if I when big at the penny slots maybe Ill buy a ticket.
the band really isnt all that bad, its just Scott Stapp that makes them sound and look like a pile of crap. they were trying to give tickets away here in Las Vegas also. they are done. only a few meatheads and holy rollers who still like them.
The immense hatred of Creed is quite baffling. Just ignore them, I do.
Some of you folks that have such seething hate for them probably have a deep love for them buried inside which you're afriad to let out.
I'm guessing different maturity levels on this message board.. Ten years ago, or even five years ago I would have bitched too, but I was a lot younger then and Creed was more relevant back then..
Actually, I poked fun at a few of there song titles a few months back, so I guess I'm guilty too.
i really shouldn't be posting this- but it makes me laugh out loud every time i re-read it. i was trying to sell some extra tix on craigslist and this guy kept trying to trade me creed tickets for them. he was totally obsessed, everytime i said no he'd like tack on another pair.
started out with this:
"Just a thought, and no big deal either way...I definitely want the tix, but I have a pair of 13th row center orchestra tickets for Creed next Thursday at the Susq Center, if you would be interested in a trade..."
i asked if he was serious and he said:
"I am a total Creed fan, also love Alterbridge, the band with all members but Scott Stapp...I will be at the show but upgraded to Row B...i go to a lot of concerts...better than golf!!!"
then he tried upgrading me everytime i said no-
"just wanted to check in again. I am still very interested and now even have a pair of Creed tickets in the 2nd row, if that interests you..."
finally i told him to give it up already and he said this, which is pretty much my favorite quote ever:
"If anything changes, please let me know...I would have made it worth your while, maybe even given you 4 Creed tickets...I would have done that for Pearl Jam."

"i would have done that for pearl jam" haha
no wonder he had like 18 tickets to spare.
This is pretty hard to follow. So the guy had Creed tickets and tried to trade them to you in exchange for Pearl Jam tickets? Is that what you're saying here?
