Just finished with my 17th show in LA and am putting all my tickets into a frame. Thought you guys might be interested in how the ticket prices have changed. No agenda here -- been worth every penny for me. Sure there are some out there who saw them in the early days for some ridiculously cheap price. Anyway, here are the ticket prices -- and these don't include all the extra surcharges/fees, etc. Just the basic ticket price.

Reading 2006 - Urbanhippie and hubby didn't go so myself and my partner at the time (UH's little brother) were kindly given the tickets.
Wembley 2007 - My Dad bought my ticket as a birthday present.
My 3rd and 4th shows weren't so cheap... but it was soooooooo worth it. Like D said, any price is fair
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
1995 - $35
1998 - $55
2003 - $82
2006 - $100
2009 - $129 - $150 depending if you get general public or ten club, ten club are more expensive.
bare in mind the exchange rate in 03 was 56 us cents per aussie dollar. today it's over 90 u.s cents per aussie dollar.
Everything seeemed even until you get to the end of the OP's list with these two above. Quite the percentage jump within the space of a couple months if you ask me. That doesn't make any sense wheras the rest of the list may.

If you have a $55 Rolling Stones ticket and there's a $3-6 service charge, okay. But ours was an $18.50 ticket, and now all of a sudden it's a $24 ticket. That's not right. I just want people to be able to see our shows. It's extremely important that it's available to everyone, that if they'd like to attend, they'd be able to. Of course, a gallon of gasoline was 33 cents back then. LPs were $1.99... 45s were 50 cents.

Inflation has gone up about 1.5x what it was in 1992. $100 in 1992 is worth about $152 now. If it was only inflation, that $18.50 ticket price Eddie was talking about in 1994 would only cost about $27 now.
Clearly, there's more going on than inflation. Cost of living is not 400% what it was in 1994.

Actually, yeah I do. Although I was stocking shelves in a supermarket in 1998 (I was 16) for $7 an hour. I now make much more than that, thankfully. Even more than 2.3 times. Does that count?

I love to travel and have had some of the best adventures in NYC, Chicago, Hartford, LA and Boston, so for that I am quite thankful and appreciative. Give me a reason to see the band and I usually find a way, so not going to complain about that. Just hoping that for at least part of the 2010 tour that the Midwest gets some shows - the ol' bank account would be most appreciative.
It's getting hard explaining to the kids during the winter the reason why the heat is off is because "Daddy had to go see Pearl Jam again..."
