The song PJ play live with the best jam in it?

I actually just blew my ears off listening to Salt Lake City 09 version of Crazy Mary, i think the jam in that song is one of the finest moments of a pj show, especially when mike just does some killer shit (anyone got any other live version recomendations for this song then go ahead!)

Corduroy ending is sick too, really love that bit and never get tired of it.

Immortality is a really nice one too.

I enjoy the porch breakdowns as well some nice notes in there.

Not to mention Even Flow, may be sick of hearing it but mike will be sure to take your face off on this one and never get bored of that bit!

I guess its all amazing stuff but wondered if anyone thought the same or differently? Im sure there is the odd sucker who doesn't like a good jam!

I love the version of Crazy Mary from Ottawa '05. Mike steals a bit of Stairway to Heaven, it sounds awesome, and the play between him and Boom is really good.

Porch is awesome, as is Rearviewmirror. I remember being blown away by the version of Rearviewmirror from Hartford '06.

pretty much every show in the dave a era had sick jamming. the porch's from that era especially were insane. plus they did tons of just weird little funk jams here and there at shows. i think my personal favorite ever would be the dirty frank -> rats jam from slims cafe '93. that is probably the coolest thing I have ever heard from this band, jam wise.

That version is incredible. I wasn't at the show, but I have the boot and the first time I heard it, it almost blew my ears off. That version is quite possibly the best version of that song. So much emotion and energy in it. It's AMAZING.

Crazy Mary jam 6/1/03 Mt. View. Best Crazy Mary jam ever.

I love the Porch jam on the Atlanta '94 Dissident concert. I love how Mike goes right into Voodoo Chile at the solo. I'm sure most people have been listening to this for 15 years but for some reason it was never part of my collection. I think I finally downloaded it last year so it is still fresh to me.

I like most Daughter jams too.

The Hartford RVM was insane. It came right after a great Black. And, Eddie told us all to smoke it if you had it a few minutes before. The jam at the end of the song was power.

any RVM from the 2000 tour is badass. The best Porch ever was Atlanta '94 (no I wasn't present for either) Unfortunately, RVM and Porch (particularly Porch) have had pretty sub par jams in them. It seems like they're trying to do waaaay to much, rather than letting the notes breathe a little bit. Its like "JAM TIME! EVERBODY SOLO!"

Also, I loved when they did the instrumental little wing at Gorge 1 in '06...one of Mike's finest moments.

It doesn't. That's been my favourite live Jam since 1994. I've heard plenty of great jams since, but still nothing that touched Porch from Altanta '94...

I'd say that takes the cake, but in general, I think the porch jams have gotten less and less interesting over the years. Nowadays, the songs I find to be showstoppers are Immortality and Crazy Mary. Love seeing those live, they're always so epic.

For me, Bonnaroo was a show that demonstrated the Jam in Pearl Jam. Porch , RVM, Crazy Mary, Alive, Even Flow, and All Along The Watchtower. Any of the six will do.

I agree. The Porch '94 jam blows away anything they have done with that song recently. That being said the Santa Barbara '06 has a good jam.
