Eddie and Matt

I don't know about everyone else, but I have gotten very concerned with Eddie's health. He looks like he has aged 10 years since last year. I know he smokes and drinks alot. His face looks bloated and his eyes look dim. I love Eddie no matter what, I just wish he would take better care of himself. As far as Matt is concerned, he looks soo thin! I hope he is ok too. I don't want anyone getting upset about this post, I was just wondering if anyone agrees with me. Pearl Jam are more than a music group to all of us. We love them like family!!!

    I just saw the band three times and they all looked and sounded fantastic!!

    I think if Ed shaved his face completely, he would look younger again.

    It's the beard. In '06 he kept it under control, but now its too long. Even 20 year old guys look old with long beards.

    He doesn't really look overweight. Maybe he'd look better if he lost 5 pounds. Smoking also ages the face.

    I agree though, he looks like the oldest one in the band now.

    And, I hope when you hit forty-five people start to boldly remind you that you don't look quite as healthy as you did at 25. I hope they put it somewhere public for other people to comment on too!! :mrgreen:

    Speaking as someone who is 10 years older than EV -- and feels like a goofball for even hitting this thread (thought it would be music-related) -- I can say first-hand that most of us start showing the wear and tear in our 40s, and I don't care how much we hear that 40 "is the new 14." Maybe the guy has a lot on his mind. He's a father and helping to run a business in pretty hard times. I haven't seen Ed lately, and he looks fine to me in the photos, and he sure as hell doesn't seem to lack for energy, but there's no avoiding the aging process, and it shows in the face. Look at Iggy Pop: abs of steel, face like Walter Cronkite.

    (Then again, Jeff Ament looks about the same as always.)

    Anyway...I also follow the Crowes around and Chris Robinson looks and acts YEARS older than Eddie, and he is a few years younger.

    Personally, I think Eddie looks GREAT, like a fine wine, he just keeps getting better. 8-)

    When I heard the words to THE END I was worried that Ed might be sick.....having a sickness in the bones and leaving the kids on their own.....

    I wish he would quit smoking for his sake....

    But he looks and acts ok so I wish him the best of health and cant wait to see him for the first time in Melbourne

    I think it's sweet that people are worried about Eddie's health, but really, can't we just love who he is without criticizing the way he looks and how he's aging? I'm sure he's taking care of himself the best he can.

    You all may want to check out the "Pics where Eddie looks hot" thread from time to time...I think it is up to like 220 pages by now, lots of current pics. I don't think he has much to worry about in the looks department other than the hordes of women dreaming of him every night.

    From reading the title I thought this was a thread on Eddie and Matts bromance. I think it's obvious to everyone that Eddie has a mancrush on Matt. But um.. Im sure Matts healthy as a horse playing the drums like he does night after night. I play drums and I'll tell ya, gotta be physically fit to play like that especially as you get older I'm sure. As for Eddie Vedder....he shoulda died at 27 so everyday is a blessing. Plus he needs to smoke 2 packs a day if he wants to keep that deep barritone voice. Im sure he was chain smoking at least 6 or 7 newport 100s before entering the studio to sing Riot Act songs.

    ??? What are you like me and believe that any thread you respond to automatically dies? Threadkiller or not it's not gonna help this thread go away. Your just bumping it up. Your better off changing the subject to whose the best pearl jam drummer like every other thread that has anything to do with matt cameron. I think Matts aged much better than jack irons and he's a better drummer too.
