    it's evolution, baby
  • I know! It is my favourite album by ANY band (closely followed by Dream Theater's Train of Thought). It is solid in it's entirety, and has some of the best contrast between songs on any pearl jam album. I think it's under rated, but everyones entitled to their opinion :)

It's not my favourite, but I do like it a lot. I especially like the opening of the album with the drums, it gives me a real feel of excitement.
  • It has things to say!
    It has meaningful songs.
And also, it has SAVE YOU!!!
But the time that the album came (war on "terrorism", Bush etc.) was very pessimistic.
You can see that on "Live at Showbox" DVD setlist and the behaviors of Ed in the concert.
Maybe people wanted something different; I do not know.
But for me, it is really a good album: I spend one year listening to this album, having great memories with my friends when the time we were listening it. When I turn it on, I remember the time and the feelings at the background Riot Act, it is cool.

I love Riot Act and don't really get why the album takes so much slag. It was my favorite PJ record for a while - not sure about that anymore, but it is certainly top 3. Any album with LBC, You Are, BuShleaguer, Ghost, Green Disease, Get Right and Help Help on it can't be anything but fantastic. Plus I think it's got my favorite artwork.
I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

because it is drastically better live. just poor production

    (i love it btw)
  • i m the GHOST that gonna SAVE YOU fucker
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
  • Nothing but love for RA here.

The opening 3 are perfectly placed.

Can't keep builds then Save You knocks your fucking socks off and LBC wraps itself around you like a much needed hug.

I Am Mine is in my top 10 ever.

Cropduster some of Ed's best lyrics

You Are great song even better live.

Get Right + GD together give a nice punk vibe.

1/2 Full rocks and then All or None brings us home and ready to hit repeat and let Can't Keep take over once again.

    Love Riot Act.
