It has meaningful songs.
And also, it has SAVE YOU!!!
But the time that the album came (war on "terrorism", Bush etc.) was very pessimistic.
You can see that on "Live at Showbox" DVD setlist and the behaviors of Ed in the concert.
Maybe people wanted something different; I do not know.
But for me, it is really a good album: I spend one year listening to this album, having great memories with my friends when the time we were listening it. When I turn it on, I remember the time and the feelings at the background Riot Act, it is cool.

(i love it btw)
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
The opening 3 are perfectly placed.
Can't keep builds then Save You knocks your fucking socks off and LBC wraps itself around you like a much needed hug.
I Am Mine is in my top 10 ever.
Cropduster some of Ed's best lyrics
You Are great song even better live.
Get Right + GD together give a nice punk vibe.
1/2 Full rocks and then All or None brings us home and ready to hit repeat and let Can't Keep take over once again.
Love Riot Act.
