Interesting Bootleg find

I was at a Half-Price Books, a chain store of resold books and music. Anyways I was looking in the P's as usual in the music section, and I saw they had Lost Dogs, Ten, Vs, and Vitalogy. I took a closer look and found a bootleg CD called Pearl Jam: Live on Long Island 8/24/00. I looked this up on my handy dandy iPhone, seeing as I never saw it before. All I got was the offiicial bootleg of the show, this one is different. It has a picture of the band on the cover instead of the plain white with the show and date.

Has anyone heard of this one? I dont know any details of any shows being release independently. So I may seem a little off on this.

Ill post a pic if it helps...

    Hilarious.

It's probably some douche bag who bought/download/stole the official boot, printed his own covers, and sold it to the store.

It could be a bootlegged bootleg, but each CD has the track listing on it etc, pretty desperate for someone trying to sell this for $5
  • Looks like a bootlegged bootleg haha. But wasnt this show a radio broadcast? So is there some long shot possibility that this is some sort of promo or something like that?

Vedder said during the show that it was being broadcasted on the radio, so maybe. On the back cover in the bottom right cover it says "Numbers Man 005/006"

    No idea what that means.

  • all pj shows that were radio broadcast from 92 through 00 were virtually thrown onto bootleg... the real joke on the bootlegger is that all 00 shows were sold officially for like $30 cheaper... ive seen some 00 bootlegs pop up in some indie record stores in nyc at the time... man if you bought this initially you had to have been pretty thick to realize you could've gotten it much cheaper
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...
