Just got LA 1 / LA 2 CDs in the mail. Listening to LA 1 as we speak and, could just be the Coronas talking, but mannnnnnn does it sound good! Quality is perfect, such a tremendous ascension in 10 years from the (relatively) muddy sound of the 2000 boots.

Oops, I just noticed that Eddie fucked up the first part of Tremor Christ. I think I was going so apeshit at the show that I didn't even realize it happened when I was there. Leave it to boots to fill you in on the moments you missed because you were too busy screaming and/or singing your head off.

Can't wait for LA 3/4 to come out...

yes, it sounds like butter. kinda like BABS. Seriously though, the acoustics at that venue was just UNFUCKINGBELIEVEABLE!

I could not possibly hear them differently - 2000 is far and away the best sounding series of official boots to me, they've gotten progressively worse every single tour (almost without exception).

This year's are markedly better than last year's - I'll give you that, though. There's still plenty of issues that could be resolved though, especially with how the guitars have been mixed (too quiet, not enough low end).

    I agree with you, Spenno
  • I haven't heard any of the '09 boots yet, but I must say that last years didn't sound too great. All other years have sounded fine to me though.

I'm not an audiophile, so you may be right. All I know is that when I put on the 2000 boots the sound of the vocals is often too low -- the instruments seem to drown the vocals out. You don't agree?

I'm debating on buying one. I've already got so many.. Any clips I could hear from?, or can anyone hook me up with one live song to get a taste??

    Better, but still spotty

In no way even remotely close to 2000 or 03 boots.

I didn't like the 2000 mix, but think '03 was amazing in quality!

To me 2000 sounded too flat and Ed's vocals were too quiet.

Lets just be happy that the band does this for the fans. Not many bands out there put out live albums, much less entire tours on CD.

I think the 03 bootlegs are, by far, the best sounding. The European 00 boots sounded pretty good but the USA 00 boots had Ed mixed too low, in my opinion. All the other years have been good enough for my ears except for 08. I don't expect this year's too be as good as 03, which is fine, but how do they compare to 05, 06, and 08?

Just received LA 1 and it sounds great! There was a small problem with the order though - I received TWO disk one. I emailed them last night and I am certain it will get resolved without any problems. Since I am not able to listen to the second disk, this will have to do for now.

    The sound quality is great!
