Will PJ ever tour Asia again?

This is not a *please play...* thread (though, of course, i have a vested interest in the subject). I am quite curious about this. First off, I know Japan is part of Asia, but I refer to the rest of Asia. They haven't toured here in 14 years. I'm not necessarily hoping for a show in my town, or even my country, but is it even possible to get them to the continent besides a few shows in Japan every couple of years?

Would they sell so few tickets it wouldn't be worth their while?

Did anyone on this board see them in Asia (again, not Japan) the last time they were here? What kind of crowds then? What capacity venues?

Last time they really toured Asia was back in the mid 90's.

    yes
  • the more i think about this, the more it becomes pretty clear--they'll probably never do this again. they already don't play nearly as many shows in a row as they used to. still, it would be interesting to see them come to china--so many other bands have done it now. but i'll probably just have to make a trip to japan the next time...

maybe in 10-15 years from now if they're still together and touring less frequently they'll do one really big world tour instead of all these lil mini US/Euro tours... dont really know what the markets like there though... maybe a few in russia, a few in japan, one in the philippines, one in thailand, one in dubai, one in israel, one in turkey? or something like that... playing china comes with some complications, no?
