correct? I'm packing for my flight tomorrow (Santa Cruz and Berkeley, baby!).

I'm trying to decide what shoes to wear to the show, which depends on whether everyone was standing.

No, everyone was seated. Sometimes we stood up to clap, etc and everyone stood up for Hard Sun at the very end, otherwise everyone sat the entire time. Ed was seated as well.

Good to know. Is it a show you can get a bit more dressed up for, rather than just jeans and tshirt?

Yes, everybody sat nearly the ENTIRE time.

By 'Porch' I couldn't take it anymore. I had to stand, dance and sing. :p Thanks, Einat, Rockford and the few others who did the same. :D

Most of the show is a sit down show, but there were points in which it was killing me that we weren't all dancing.

If Ed is setting the tone for fashion at these shows, I would say no.

I'm not a concert sitter ... however, I've got no problem with it at these shows. They are solo acoustic shows ... not a whole lot of chances to "rock out" I'd imagine.

As I predicted, in an earlier thread, these are acoustic shows ala Benaroya. It was seated except for the end. :)

I'm sure you can wear whatever you like, but Santa Cruz is generally not a "dressed up" kinda place.

Nothing says "dress up" like a Butthole Surfers T-shirt...

...or any shirt that has the word "butthole" on it.

How cool that you're taking your mom!! I took my mom for the 2003 Pearl Jam show at The Shoreline. My mom loves Eddie's voice and the kind of person he is :-)

  • Wow, that would be different, sitting down for a show...especially since I'd be so effin excited! In Atlanta 2003, the guy behind me said "Can you sit down, I can't see!" I turned around, gave him the most dumbfounded look...can't understand this...needless to say, I said no!

Either way, I'm jealous of everyone seeing the Ed shows. Have an awesome time!

So true. He really won me over. The only other thing of his I had ever heard was off of the NZ DVD from a few years back. But, there is no nepotism here. Liam stands on his own 2 feet and rocks the both of them...

    I'm sure she's not that old ;)
    it's fair enough.

but seated shows should have a section for people like me who simply cannot seat for 2 hours!
