I am looking to get a new phone and I have found that the HTC Hero looks like a good fit for me. Does anyone have this phone, and could tell me whether they enjoy it?

I went and looked at that phone the other day. After playing with it in the store for about 5 min, I almost bought it. I don't even need a new phone (went in to get a charger). It seemed awesome. Super fast, tons of apps, and I found it easy to use. Still might go pick it up soon. Really good reviews on it too.

I can tell you that the phone is great. We have someone in our office who just got the HTC Hero. It is amazing as far as data applications go. The phone is utilizing the new Andriod Operating Sytem by Google. I have done a lot of research on this platform and from what I can tell this is the latest and greatest in wireless phone technology. I read somewhere that the Android OS phones will overtake the i Phone by 2012 in total unit sales.

The only draw back that I see with the HTC Hero is that it does not have a physical key board. I am not a big fan of phones with no physical keyboard (I am a Blackberry user right now) as opposed to phones with a touch screen keypad. The touch screen key pad numbers/letters seem very small and hard to type.

Other then that one draw back I would say go for it. If you decide to wait there will be an Android phone with a slide out key board from Samsung in the near future as well as about 4 or 5 more Android devices coming out in the next few months.

    Good luck.
