anyone heard anything about this promise from a TenCLub email back on 9/18?

"Stay tuned for details on free concert downloads from the vault through the Ten Club version of the CD."

    Dont hold your breath. I called the 10c and they told me that there will be NO VAULT DOWNLOADS if you purchased the CD from the 10c.

    It would be a sad statement to fans if the people who picked up the album from Target got something extra and those who are giving their hard-earned dollars "directly" to the band get hosed...

    Giving money to 10c isn't really much different than giving money to Target. The bonus concerts kinda suck anyway and are set up for casual fans.

    I agree. We shouldn't be "punished" for not buying it through Target. And in fact, we were told we'd get free downloads as well, even though we purchased through TC.

    That being said, they've usually kept their word on promises. I highly doubt we're not getting anything for purchasing through TC.

    Mmm, actually some of the "vault shows" are 2008 shows, which are not free.
    I would have liked the mansfield 2008 show (i was there), but having the 10C Backspacer my only option is to buy it from... guess who!? 10C ;)

    What are the bonus shows? I bought a copy at Target, but I have never brought it inside my house to put it in my computer and find out about the additional content. It has been in my car since September 20.

    I am usually not one to rail on the tenclub because I think they do a very good job, however, we were promised 2 free downloads and we still do not have access to them nearly 1 month after the release of the album.

    This really is unacceptable. I would have bought the album from Target had I known this was going to happen. I am disappointed in their inability to provide the downloads but more disappointed in their silence on the matter. There really should be some better communication from them on what the hold up is and when we can expect a resolution.

    what show do you want? You realize you can download every 2006,2005,2003, 2000 show for free in the Given to Fly section of this forum don't you? You don't have to pick from a handful of ones, you can download every single show. The only thing that makes this different than the Target bonus thing is you can't download a 2008 show- but you aren't missing much as the 2008 shows have poor sound quality and the overall shows aren't that great. The only one worth a damn is Hartford but I don't think that is an option to download.

    Wow... I really thought a lot of the 08 shows were amazing. Nothing like getting a tour that's not promoting an album where you get some really cool songs tossed into the mix. Hartford was my favorite of the tour, but Columbia was amazing, Boston 2 had some really good songs, Bonaroo and MSG were both long shows as well.

    Not to mention, you get an entire show, not just the songs they feel like giving you (as is the case with the downloads from the Backspacer CD).

    Agreed. This goes back to the "Big, Bold, Beautiful, and Free" nonsense. Why say something until you have made for certain that you're gonna do it? It's pretty silly and makes 10c look like absolute amatuers.

    It seems they get ahead of themselves sometimes and don't clear everything legally or logistically and they have to blab something to us and then can't come through on it. I assume they're not intentionally getting people's hopes up and then just being fuck-ups about it. But who knows.

    actually, that's incorrect. As much as I love and defend 10C, there has been several situations where things have been said and not followed through on.
