Does anyone travel from Philly to NYC daily or vice versa. I'm from Long Island and have been searching trying to find the cheapest way to travel. Any help would be appreciated.

Amtrak $34 each way from Penn Station.
  • Megabus, about 15 dollars round trip, for two people.

But I booked months ago, now it might be more expensive (like 20 bucks round trip for one person)

Bolt Bus is good as well. I take it almost every summer weekend for Yankees games

    megabus or greyhound
    much cheaper than the train

but if you are traveling during rush hour/late afternoon down to philly, you might want to consider the train as the traffic on the NJ turnpike can be a bitch afternoons/early evening
  • I always take the Chinatown bus. They go from Chinatown in New York to Chinatown in Philadelphia. The prices range from $10-$15 one way. I would look into that option, because the Megabus and Bolt Bus increase the price of the ticket as the travel dates approach.

Disclaimer: The Chinatown bus companies are pushy. However, I have never had any real troubles...
