Tired of Waiting

I’m so disappointed by the management of Ten Club. I ordered the Backspacer CD in August expecting it to arrive some time after September 20th. I’m a huge fan, paid good money to see them perform in Vancouver and was really excited to get the new album. Well it still hasn’t shown up after a month and three emails. They finally told me they’re having problems with shipping to Canada???? Now they’ve said I’ve been refunded, which hasn’t shown up on my credit card and I’m still without a CD. Has anyone else had this problem?
I will never use this site to buy merchandise again. And people wonder why CD sales have dropped. A complete waste of my time and a bad reflection on a classy band.

    IMHO...and this is only my opinion.....I do understand your frustration....I get that you are upset because it happened to you...That said....Let say there were 50K people who ordered the cd FROM the 10C(I am sure the numbers are skewed, but stay with me for a second)...If 50 or so people didnt get the cd(and I havent seen that many here on the board), or it showed up late, isnt that a pretty decent rate? I mean seriously...Do you or anyone else think that the 10C set out and handpicked those whos orders failed to arrive in a timely manner if at all? Dont you think that they made every effort possible to make sure we all had it in time? I for one do....I think that they tried, and once it was out of there hands and turned over to the PO or shipping companies or whomever, they had done there part, and again IMHO, should be obsolved of any wrong doing, personal attacks and flat out flack. And yes, I too have not recieved stuff in the past...Have contacted them and a solution one way or the other was always agreed upon whether it was a refunded or another item resent...So for you to come here and say that it was a bad reflection of a classy band and will never buy from them again, or that this is the reason that cd sales have dropped, are completely unfounded, uncalled for, and imho, flat out silly and a waste of valuable time. Again, I am sure it means alot to you and I dont doubt that you are upset...I just think if you step back and take a hard look, you and everyone else will realize that it really wasnt there fault....

    I get what you're saying about not getting too personel about it and blaming the club. The thing that made me most upset was the emails I sent. I just wanted to know if it had actually been sent out and I never got a proper response. I even called the Ten Club and the lady on the phone was so dumbfounded it left me feeling even more angry. After sending a scathing letter last night, they finally responded by telling me that it was sent out and might have been lost. That's all I really wanted to hear. Some sort of closure. Anyway, I just got an email and they have refunded my money and if the CD finally comes its free. That's a very fair deal.
    It was more just the overall handling of the situation. Yes I should have been more patient but all I wanted was a proper response. Suffice to say, I'll buy my tickets through the club but that's about it. I live in Canada and after shipping and the exchange rate I find the prices way too expensive.

  • "could have been lost"? DAMMIT. I haven't received mine in Winnipeg yet, and I haven't contacted 10C yet. I was just waitintg patiently. Maybe I should and get that refund and just go buy it at a record store. Dammit.

    where in Canada do you live? I'm in Winnipeg, and haven't got my disc yet either.

    Your disc will probably show up some time this week or next. I finally got my copy on the 9th and I live outside of Vancouver.
