Inspired by Pearl Jam
I have been inspired by Pearl Jam's charitable outreach, as well as the members of the Wishlist Foundation, to try to raise money for a very worthwhile charity.
I used to run a lot, but I "retired" after a number of injuries in college. After about 16 years off, I'm back to running, and have decided to run the Disney Marathon in January. I thought this would be a good opportunity to raise some money for a very good cause, the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF). CTF is a charitable foundation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis. Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that can cause tumors all over the body, particularly in children. I am hoping that some of you will be able to support this very worthwhile cause. That's really cool they were my inspriation too when I started Charity work and now
I work solidly with several charitible orginaizations out here in Kasas City Including March of Dimes my local animal shelters, women's shelter's and the homeless shelters, and we're starting to branch out to cover Breast Cancer, Diabetes and world as well as US hunger.. we're the Ink'd Girls tattood women changing their communities one charity at a time:-)and PJ was our inspriation so I know how ya feel good luck with your marathon..
Excellent! I work with the Kiwanis Club in Williamsport, which focuses on helping children, which is how I landed on CTF. Good luck with all you are doing!
