Why have I ignored this band all this time?
Seeing they will be playing at the Soundwave festival I thought I'd get Nothing's Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual, I am impressed, Navaro is a crazy guitarist, love his solo's.

They will probably play a side show here before or after the festival.
I'd love to go, a guy at my work says they are awesome live.

Which album do you people rate better Nothing's Shocking or Ritual.
Favourite songs?

I love both, but lean more towards Nothing's Shocking, love Had a Dad, crazy song.

  • For me it has to be Ritual as my fave JA album, Bought it on tape back in '91 and played it constantly. Still play the CD regular now. This album changed my outlook on rock music, up until I found J A I was a full on metal head. 3 days has to be one of my fave all time tracks.
Have you listened to Strays, some good stuff on that. Also the Panic chanel album as pretty good too.

    Nah only the albums mentioned.
A guy at work sent me Live & Rare through work network.
Haven't listened properly, need to put it to usb and bring it home and listen loud.

  • I seriously can't listen to Nothing's Shocking without listening to Ritual de lo Habitual right after. :ugeek:

ritual's got higher highs and lower lows. i prefer nothing's shocking. their live self-titled's great too. kettle whistle and strays are a distant 4th and 5th.

and i still can't believe pearl jam played mountain song.

    I love Nothing's Shocking.
    The best of the albums.

Ritual is a great album to, I love the second half of it more.
Can't go wrong with Three Days, Then She Did, Of Course, and Classic Girl.

My fave is Nothings Shocking. Pigs in Zen, Standing in the Shower Thinking and even Idiot's Rule. Fortunate enough to have seen them a couple of times. I have always felt they were way underrated.

I saw them do this act in Vegas last year at Brooklyn Bowl- an unreal venue.

I thought the show was great.

I can see how his political views would have you wanting to smack him, BB.

I don't care for Perry as a person, but I still like his tunes.

3days is a masterpiece, Mountain song....I would for you.....love this band. From a thread I started long ago to much fanfare, I love fucking Perry Farrell! So many good songs, and some amazing jams. Love the guitar sound, like it playing in an empty canyon
