Layne's vocals....

Let me just say I have always been a big AIC fan....Lately I have been you-tubing some early AIC video's and I have a new-found appreciation for Layne's vocals. Top 2 of all time (in my opinion) just sick!....
When people ask me about my musical favorites, I tell them Pearl Jam is my wife, while AIC is my mistress...

I was just thinking this the other day as i listened to Jar of flies for the first time with headphones.
I was blown away all over again the first time I listened to Rotten Apple with headphones on.
I can't say enough about Layne's vocals. I have been listening to AIC a lot lately and my appreciation for his voice keeps growing. Some of the bootlegs and youtube clips I've heard are just insane.

Beautiful to listen to, really sad to watch :(
I was saying this the other day to a friend of mine. The music is second to none, but when you watch the DVD and Layne takes off his sunglasses and you see his sunken eyes, my heart sinks to my goddamn knees. He was the best. I guess they are right, only the good die young.

Very true, Mad Season is a brilliant record. But his vocals were very impressive on some of the Chains material too. "It Ain't Like That" is a good example in my opinion.

Yeah, I believe that is true. The album is supposedly a story of his stay in rehab...
