I got two for Philly...I got two...

First time poster, long time lurker! To make a long story short, I was able to get tickets to the 10/28 and 10/30 shows during the pre-sale. Since then life situations have changed and I’m in a little bit of a financial crunch. I have two pairs of Ten Club tickets (206xxx) to “unload”. I tried to hold out as long as possible hoping I would be able to attend, but all signs point to no. :(
I figured this would be the best place to find a good home for the tickets. I sent a few emails to the Ten Club explaining the situation and to see if the tickets can be transferred to a fellow Ten Club member to avoid having to drive in and pick up the tickets (I know, I know…no refunds, exchanges, transfers, etc. –you never know unless you try) but I haven’t heard back. I know they are busy and time is running out. The plan right now would be to meet at the Ten Club window on the day of the show. If you would like the tickets, I would need the ticket money up front. Unfortunately this sounds like a scam  . I can assure you this is not. I’ll forward you the ticket info when I get it (I just have the pre-sale confirmation now and I can send that too). If you are interested in either the 10/28 or 10/30 Philly show (or both), or if I left any info out and you have questions, send me a PM.

Thanks!

  • You want the money before going to the window the day of the show to pick up the tickets? How about getting the tickets first then getting the payment? One post....... It could be legit???

I see red flags. But then I'm paranoid.

you're going to have to show up the days of the shows to pick up the tix. they don't do transfers anymore--that aint gonna happen so just forget it. when the 10c responds, they will apologize, but say no transfers.

Yeah I can see that. I'm paranoid too! I don't want to be standing outside the ticket window holding an empty envelope with no money AND no tickets! lol

I guess trust is a two way street...

Why would you end up with an envelope and no tickets? You will be picking up your tickets at the window with your ID. I don't know that you have a lot of risk since you will be at the venue and can always scalp the tickets for half price or more if your buyer is a no-show.

But "pay now, get tickets the night of the show" requires no trust from you. You can't end up with "no tickets" cause you have to pick them up from the window. Worst case is you get stood up by the buyer and have to sell them on short notice.

Maybe you should only be looking for half the cost upfront, then. Otherwise, without out any proof and no post history - and requiring immediate payment - makes this pretty scammy

I hope this isn't how the Ten Club handles it's ticket orders!
