EP?, how about LP?

Jeff said the band will have to go back into the studio to "touch up" the songs if they release an EP.

Why not record six more tunes and make it a complete album?

How great would it be to have a new album late next year?

3 years between albulms for the last few, and now an albulm and an EP in less than 1? It will be awesome if it happens.

  • It wouldn't surprise me if the material grew into a full-length album. After all, Vitalogy was originally conceived as an EP. So they could either just complete the unfinished songs they've amassed over the past year and call it a day; or use those songs as a jumpstart for the next LP. Right now, Pearl Jam is probably just thinking small so there is no pressure or deadlines to meet. Nevertheless, I envision the time lapse between releasing new music, whether EP or LP, to be the shortest since Vs. made way for Vitalogy.
  • Doesn't anyone remember similar comments when Avacado came out? There was interviews where they said they had all this extra material and would hope to do something with them soon. I think they said they had like 30 songs going in. Then nothing happened. Then I read a interview with Matt Cameron yesterday where he said they wrote all the songs in the studio for Avacado. They took 4 years between riot act and they wrote all the songs in the studio? I'm pretty confused and not counting on anything. Had my hopes up in 2006 and all those songs disapeared.
