Turntable/Pre-Amp Help Needed

So, go figure, I now have Live on Two Legs on vinyl, and my pre-amp decides to crap out on me. It's an old Soundcraftsmen pre-amp/EQ from the mid-70s which has served me very well over the last few years, but recently, it will only output in left-channel mono sound.. in stereo mode, as well as right-channel mono, all that comes out is the music very inaudibly. I have an SAE power amp which works great, but was wondering if anyone knows of an affordable short-term solution for my issue... essentially, some sort of small phono pre-amp which can go between the turntable and power amp is what I need. I believe some products like this exist, but can't recall what they're called, and don't know about which are better than others. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
