The Wiggles vs. Pearl Jam

edited October 2009 in Other Music
The Wiggles sold out 12 straight nights at MSG whereas Pearl Jam typically only sells out two nights at MSG.

Also open for discussion, Boom vs. Henry the Octopus.

I'm more of a wiggles guy. That hit single a few years back "Zing Zang Wing Wang Wong" is phenomenal.

  • In 2008 Wiggles guitarist Murray Cook was named the 6th best guitarist in Australia. I don't think Mike McCready was on that list. I'm pretty sure Mike's not even Australian.

Fruit Salad is without a doubt their GREATEST hit!!! I do not think that song will ever be removed from the area it has been burnt into my brain!

  • the wiggles were better for sure with the original Greg Wiggle. Sam Wiggle is nice and all, just not the same. It's kinda like Guns N Roses without Slash now. Still a great, great band, just not the same without the heart and soul. but they are still far superior to this Pearl Jam group. Pearl Jam will never have a song that moves people like "Fruit Salad", "Rolling Down the Sand Hills", or even "Big Red Car"

they have never had a crack at selling out 12 shows at the garden, but i could bet that they would if they tried!

the real question is, will the wiggles get the floor to bounce, and the lights to swing from the roof?

All joking aside, I can stand most of their songs...but "Rolling Down The Sand Hills" is atrocious.

What about that retarded "Poobah" crap? You couldn't take enough LSD to understand that show.

Ever see "Yo Gabba Gabba?" It's like a children's network executive was constantly high for four days or something. I still can't get "You don't bite your friends" out of my head. Also, Elijah Wood was on that show. He showed you how to do a dance move called "The puppet master." Ah, having little brothers is great.

    P.S.

    Big Red Car=Classic :)
