ok let me start by saying I dislike Rush Limbaugh as much as the next guy but the NLFPA and Al Sharpton coming out against him possibly buying the Rams is a disgrace. Aren't these the same aholes who were all for giving Michael Vick a 2nd chance? so Michael Vick can play but Rush Limbaugh can't own a team. No one has the balls to call them out on it but it is a disgrace in my opinion.

  • I can't stand Limbaugh, but I think that the NFLPA is over-stepping on this one. If the NFL management, board of governors or other owners vote against him becoming an owner, that's one thing, but the players association shouldn't have influence on that.

But I don't get the comparison at all with Vick? Two completely different situations, and of course the NFLPA will do whatever it can to get ANY player back in the league. They represent the players, so they will always side with players.

  • While Michael Vick has his issues, he's not a known racist.

I actually have a friend who knows nothing and cares nothing about football but said he may now have a team to follow because of Limbaugh.

I wanted to punch him in the face :D

wow so being 'labeled' a racist is worse than being a convicted felon? so 2nd chances for convicted felon's who spent 2 years in Leavenworth but no chances for a guy who you disagree with his words - free speech and equality only when it fits Mr. Sharpton's agenda I guess.

Al Sharpton is an idiot through and through, so I'm not defending his take on this, just the comparison in general.

Michael Vick committed a crime and served the sentence he was given. While more severe than most, this is not uncommon in the NFL as players are often given multiple chances after arrests and whatnot.

Having a guy who has made racially charged comments in the past potentially owning a team and making personnel decisions within a very diverse organization is just a bad idea.

    Actually it's a horrible idea.
