"BUT I WAS 13 WHEN IT CAME OUT!!!"yea i was 14 when 10 came out. I understand what you are sayinng (being a bit older and mature at 18) however 13-14 is a terrific age to be when a scene is beginning , there was a certain "je ne sais quoi" about that time with respect to music and youth culture in general and im very surprised you said that. oh well we all write our own autobiographies

TEN was the greatest album released by any band at any time....

    until VS was released..........
Vs. is definitely the best album for me right now. It bumps NC & Y away from the top slot during spring and summer.

No Code is such an easier album to persoanlly adapt and get close too. Ten is more yeah man I love this shit lets fucking rock, and than feel super differant maybee in not a such a good way all the time, kind sad in some spots but great none the less, for people that may of had a certain level of discomfort in their life. Ten made you face your fears or problems.
No code if liked is like warm and fuzzy and creative, just a completeley differant kind album.
I think its no comparison at all. Ten is my least.
Id have to say No code. It changed my whole outlook on the band. It is when I became the fan that "pays attentetion to detail" before that it was just about listening to a decent rock band.
Now I am just as pumped to see 8 shows than I would going to see The Eagles in the bowl. It started with No Code.
And I love vs, and not for you from Vitalogy is to me their best song.
Some people have religion I have Pearl Jam.

Their would be No Code with out Ten vs Vitalogy, or five against 1.

Whoa, great post bro, I totally agree with everything i said. No Code and Yield is for me to listen to personally but if I'm driving around with freind it's either Ten or Vs. because they're totally rock-out party albums.

A friend of mine, who actually got me into PJ, didn't even buy Yield because he was so disappointed with NC and couldn't get into them anymore. I used to borrow the first three albums and listen to them from him but though they're just another Seattle 90's band....then Yield came out it blow me away, then got NC and it also blew me away.

  • smart people always want to appear rarified and exclusive and smarter people grow past and recognize this and ultimately decide to basically give up the pretense and be genuine (je ne vais pas faire vous voulez s'etre moi). I'm neither so i guess...rock on!!!
  • The whole Pearl Jam thing is special. Every picture I have associted with the shows trips, I have the biggest smiles.
