nobody here is going to give you a straight answer. everyone here is way too hip and independent to admit to any sort of affiliation like that.
i'm a registered democrat. i learned long ago 3rd parties are never going to happen here, and as long as the republicans keep pandering to the christian values voters they will get nothing from me. so i typically throw my support to the party that frightens me less.0 -

I just vote my conscience. In national elections it has taken me as far "left" as Ralph Nader and as far "right" as Chuck Baldwin.
That, and I am pretty fuckin' hip. Look at my sweet green glasses and goatee => :ugeek:0 -
Illuminati, Bilderberger, Shadow Government supporter.

I'm getting more varied answers than my 'favorite item from taco bell' thread!0

Not an American, but politically I am a moderate, I suppose ... Leanings to the left on issues like health care and social programs, leanings to the right on issues like criminal justice and national defense. I support multiculturalism but oppose programs like affirmative action. If any label fits, its probably "red tory" (i.e., a moderate conservative): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_tory
If I WAS an American, I'd probably find myself voting based on current issues ... I'd have voted Democrat in the last election, for instance.0 -
how about an independent?
i have NO party affiliation and never will.
*raises hand*Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...

I'm more of a Trilateral Commission, UN, CFR guy myself...0 -
Everyone knows that Republicans and Dems are pretty much on the same team.
Hence, the two-party system. SYSTEM being the key word, as the system will always win.0 -

Gosh, people here nearly crucified me when I said that Obama wasn't God, although I thought he was a good person who would try hard and probably do a good job. I can't for the life of me tell which way they lean. It's not that people are too cool to tell you about their leanings, it's just that you figure it's pretty obvious which way people lean on Pearl Jam board.0

Betterman party.

I'm a registered Independent. Have been since my first vote in 1992.
I wish I had known more about Ron Paul in early '08. Instead, I was a sheep riding the Obama bandwagon: Bush was so horrible that any non-Republican looked like bliss. In most previous elections, I did vote third party. Vanity got the better of me last year as I also wanted to vote for someone who would win.
I no longer have cable, so I have the pleasure of seeking out less popular news online. I now see that Democrat and Republican are two sides of the same coin. Left wing and Right wing are both parts of the same body with one head.
Oh, that reminds me: I need to log in to my MySpace page and delete the Obama sites that I "friended" in the past. (And why is Firefox not recognising the name "Obama" in its automatic spellcheck thingie?)"May you live in interesting times."0 -
radical anarchist commie.
The entire system is corrupt. The government gets in no matter who the winning party is. The system is not fixable.
I am a registered socialist0 -
I'm a bleeding heart liberal and will kick the shit out of anyone who gives me lip about it.0
