Same here. Can't say there's much I've heard from them that I didn't love.

The Frames are better but Swell Season's ok if a bit safe. Still a great live show though.

Good info. I thought I had heard they had broken up, so I didn't think they would be "making music" together anymore.

I was walking by the National Concert Hall one day and there was a poster saying that the Swell Season were playing that night, with Lisa Hannigan in support. What an ideal venue for those two acts, I had to go to work instead.

Have some Swell Season bootlegs, good to know Glen still tells his rambling stories between songs. A Swell Season show will never beat a Frames show for the energy or audience, but it's great to hear Glen and Marketa perform to respectful silence instead of the drunken hollerings of a Frames crowd, it's a nice change for a while. It does lose the spontaneous feeling a Frames show... the audience knows the Swell Season are not as likely to pull out "Bananaman", "Cry Me A River" or "Breed" by Nirvana, or other random fun covers, etc. But that's cool too.

Frames are the only band I can think of would give Pearl jam a run for their money were they to play together. Huge energy and my other favourite live band. They fuckin rock.

Saw them (Swell Season) back in 2008 with Iron & Wine opening. Went for Iron & Wine, but was really impressed with Swell Season too. Definitely worth seeing again.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
