Yield - Don't Stop

I was around 15 when TEN dropped - really dug it (mad love to Nirvana - but thought these guys destroy Nirvana) - Had a cassette copy that got played to death - Picked up VS. on the debut day - Same for Vitology - I was 18 or more when NO CODE came. Another buddy had it and played it for me, and I just didn't get it. Some years later I picked up the Given To Fly single - again didn't get it - Leatherman??? I was like wtf? - many years later my brother come by with Binaural - I was on the crapper and heard Light Years though the walls and down the hall - went to the record store topick it up, but discovered LiveOn2Legs - holy holy macaroni - After hearing Given To Fly live and Do The Evolution and MFC - I started over - Picked up Ten and VS. and Vitology again along with No Code and Yield.
YIELD returned my faith in rockin roll. It was an album, not a collection of singles or just an over priced way to market 2 good songs. I know all this is what we have come to know and love about Pearl Jam - their albums are complete works of art and even though any song can stand on its own other artist mush wish they could compile such catalogs.
So the other thread about IGNORING YEILD- that chic is nuts. My friends who like rock but aren't pearl jam fan who ask me for a mix cd - I don't give them the Alives' and Evenflows or other radio hits (of course not) typically I pass along a pile of yeild songs and no codes - Yield brought me into the light of how music should feel again - that was almost 10 years ago and boy am I glad I found my way back home.
Yield is the best door opener to getting the whole Pearl Jam expierence - they are just so amazing
