A kiss and a hug is all it was
Why do I think it meant something
Something more than what it was
Haven’t heard you in days
So where does that leave me
Where do I go from here
I don’t want to anticipate more
To expect something to bloom
But I still want you here
To not think would be nice
Just feel what I know
Funny, feeling and thinking
Really aren’t that much different
Or are they
Wont someone come along to tell me
The differences between the here and now
From the then and there
It felt right at the time
So why does it feel absurd now
Feel as if I was living a lie
Nay, not a lie
But something that isn’t quite true
Nor as pure as the truth
That once again here I am
Won’t you finally come in
