Backspacer Vinyl Problems...

My Backspacer Vinyl skips a whole hell of a lot. I just took it out and played it, first time, and it skips almost every song. I played 2 Vinyls before and it worked fine...
also, quick question. im new to records and was wondering if it was bad to just stop a recod player while its playing, like does it damage the needle or anything? or does it not matter? usually im too lazy to pick it up and i just stop the player instead ;/ ....

In July 2007 Densmore said that he would not rejoin The Doors unless it was fronted by Eddie Vedder. Densmore says, "I play with Jim. If there's someone of that level, OK. I'm not gonna join them with Ian. That's not to diss Ian, he's a good singer - but he's no Jim Morrison. Eddie Vedder? My God, there's a singer."

After checking out your player on the web, I am willing to bet it is the problem. Unless you have a visible scratch which can also be felt I would say its the player. The needles for their players can be obtained for pennies. My needle is average and it cost me 75.00. Records can be extremely beat up and still play through scratches.
