Hey guys i've like PJ for a couple years now and only recently have i started to collect bootlegs, do you guys know which ones are the best?

    I think what D is trying to ask is, each year and/or tour has it's own style, own flavor if you will...

    I went through phases.

    For example, while only 2 years apart, 1996 and 1998 are 2 completely different tours, different styles, and different sounds.

    Do you like 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009 Pearl Jam? I'm sure your answer will be all of the above.

    What i would recommend is doing a tour at a time. 1996 from start to finish is stellar. As is 2000.

    try the three boston shows from the 2003 tour.. i.e "the experiment"

    (see my sig. below)
    .. that will give you a good cross section of their catalogue and some tremoundous electric and accoustic performances.

    95- soldier field 7-11
    redrocks - 6-20 ( i believe)
    sandiego - last show of 95 tour

    96- randalls island- 9-29-96 i think... im in 09 mode right now so these exact dates are escaping me

    98- MSG 9-11
    last show 9-23-98 Florida

    2000- Jones beach 3 8-25-00 saratoga was great 8-27 boston 2 8-30 check out some of the 2000 EUROPE shows... katowice poland ( 2nd show) ITALY shows rocked!
    Seattle 2 11-6-00 Boise 11-3 haha, love tha Boise rocked!

    2003- Obviously, you MUST have STATE COLLEGE 5-3-03, and Mansfield 3 7-11-09, MSG 03 7-8/7-9

    2005- PHILLY PHILLY PHILLY!!! 10-3-05 Atlantic City shows were very cool also... that whole Canadian tour was pretty amazing

    2006- God, so many... LEASH Show i guess 5-25-06 Boston... Grand Rapids was awesome 5-19 GORGE!!!! 7-22 and 7-23 i believe...

    07- VIC theatre, Chicago...

    08- Bonaroo, Columbia, SC HARTFORD!!! Msg 1 ( IMO) Boston 2 last official show of tour

    Dont forget to check out Milan 2006!!! unbeliveble crowd, just mind blowing sing-a-long. And gorge 2005/2006, Benny hall 2003.
    There is so many great ones to pick, but these 5 is pearl jam at their best! Enjoy
