SD Recommendations for pre-show food/drink/hang out?

I'm travelling down to San Diego from L.A. and hope to arrive with the wife around 4pm or so. Is there an area near Viejas where the wife and I can grab a cocktail or three, and a good bite to eat? Maybe even a place where we have some choices as opposed to one specific restaurant? Maybe also a place where we might run into a few of our other Fan Club members to commiserate about what we have experienced at the Gibson?

I'd love any thoughts...Muchas Gracias!

    There is an official pre-party thread for San Diego somewhere on the Porch. It's at a place called 'McGregors' and it's a trolley stop from the venue. It's a straight up sports bar, but should be good for what we want to do.
