Which are the best and easiest to travel to gigs to attend in good old Australia?

Ive just accepted VR and am hoping to get Mrs Super Vedder to agree that a trip to OZ would be a great way to spend a little time and money before starting the daily grind of job seeking again (oh and i will get to watch a couple of PJ shows whilst there!!!)

All help greatly appreciated as this is "quite" a big decision and planning is essential ;)

Many Thanks

Kev

Most Aussies are on The Porch. Ask the same question on 'The Australian / New Zealand Official List' thread.
I'll just say Perth is cool, The Members Equity Stadium is a good venue. The Train stops a short walk away also.
And if your going to do some site seeing, we have excellent places down south where even Ed goes surfing!

The people on the above thread will love to tell you thier favorite places.
    Happy travels :D

    easiest??? hmmm

the SFS is a walk away from the main train station or CBD.or you can catch a bus.

etihad in melbourne is walkable from the CBD & spencer street ... oops sorry... its called southern cross station now.

QSAC in brisvegas is a train and a bus ride or just a bus ride away from the CBD

    thats all i know.

personally id go sydney but im extremely biased cause i live there.

    Yea Sydney, as they say.
If you want to go to a couple of shows, Sydney is a good place to travel FROM. It's even quite close to New Zealand!
Sydney would be the first 'best' place to go in Oz.... As long as you do all touristy stuff aswell. That place has lots to offer, take it all, have a blast.

Then go somewhere different. Oz is a big place.

it would really depend on what else you plan to see while you are out here.
West Coast is beautiful, so you could fit that in around the show
East Coast, you can maybe do a few more shows, see some more of the "well known" sites
let us know of your plans, it would be good to catch up again
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!

Travel with an army of strong men capable of kicking ass in fights if you intend on walking around Melbourne at night.

I'll be traveling down to Perth as well. Any good and affordable hotels around the stadium?
