When Pearl Jam played here in San Francisco for the Outside Lands Festival, great show of course, where I was standing which was pretty close a few songs got ruined for me because of some idiots to fkd up to understand what they were really witnessing.. Does this happen at every PJ show? I totally understand and agree with the freedom of music and the interaction of the soul when it's live, but these guys ruined guitar solos played behind the neck by McCready cause they acted like they were at a freakin Family Value Tour concert.. Man so many people were pissed at these guys... Have alot of you had some good moments ruined cause of this? Like I said, I am one for the freedom of live music and what it does for you at a concert, with that said take your dance experience to the back of the crowd so us who paid our money who are already stuffed together like a layer of pigs to the slaughter can enjoy what little space we have watching the band we love and support...

I totally see where you are coming from. In reality unfortunatley, yeah you are gonna have douchebags at shows (any show) that may piss you or other people off. 've learned to just make the best of it when douchebagery occurs. I didn't have any problems at ACL it was pretty chill.

My experience is that stuff happens more at festivals. At a PJ show most people are there for the music, with festivals some people are there just to get messed up and act like a knob. There seems to always be at least one in the crowd desperately seek attention.

At Seattle night #1 there were two "10C" members next to my wife and me who were the most obnoxious asses ever. They complained the entire time about their seats and kept screaming in our ears. I hate them!

I think its mainly due to the festival atmosphere.

Leeds 06 I missed pretty much the first three tracks (up to Mikes solo in Corduroy) due to some crazy nutter who was literally trying to fight everyone in his immediate vicinity and security had to wade in to pull him out/protect us....and I was about three people deep from the stage at the time! ;)

  • Maaaan, In Berlin in august...I was on the seated area of the arena first, but after few songs I said, shit, I will try to get to front rows...and man, I was succesful...after 5 minutes I was really close to front row..its such a different experiance...BUT then...some drunk MF was jumping around like crazy...people were pushing him away, but he was unstoppable....So, as I was enjoying, just after Evenflow's Mikes solo behind his head....when singing starts...the guy started jumping like crazy....and the next second he came from nowhere and directly with his head in my face(nose to be precise)...I fell down on the floor, blood was all over my face, hands...I had to go back to seated area....fortunately the nose was not broken, but the concert was totaly ruined for me.....although it was sure one of the best(setlist, atmosphere, arena...)

Ahhhh....I still cant belive that it happened....I am not sure if I even want to listen to the boot;))) for sure I will remember evenflow from Berlin for all my life
