Bootled Download Website??

What is the website that has the old (no longer available for purchase through Pearl Jam) bootlegs available for download. It's been about a year or so since I've been on there, and I can't remember the web address for the life of me. Just to reiterate, I'm looking for the website that has older, archived shows... ones that don't violate the band's trading policy. Thanks.

those shows on that Bootleg site .. just use a converter . free one, torrent one whatever thats all someone else is doing when they make flac. files
hope that helped lol .. peace
the one i use is called " FairStars Audio Converter " pm me if u need it .
Um, are you suggesting i go from mp3 to flac?
:?: :?: :?: :?:
b/c that's just not how it works.
Honestly how do u think anyone makes a flac. file ?? do think they just come out the recorder Flac. ??
that show is going to go from around 100 mb's MP3 to around 300 Mb's Flac. and yes u can hear the difference not much but u can .. that's why i leave them alone.. ill convert it up to flac. for the listening .. takes up to much disk space ..
FLAC needs to be made from an original, lossless, uncompressed master, eg AIFF or WAV. MP3 is lossy and if a file has already been in the MP3 domain, the damage is done. Switching to FLAC doesn't restore lost detail, it just gives you an uncompressed copy of a lossy file.
So while the file you'd produce is indeed a FLAC, the whole point of FLAC (compressed but lossless audio) is lost. There's no Blade Runner interpolation of what was there; MP3 doesn't store a diff of what was lost to compression.
Genius.
I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but, sorry... this is extremely wrong... The original file is NOT an mp3! you can't go from mp3 to flac... that would be a total defeat of the purpose...
Lossy: Lossy is a way of encoding data according to the limits we humans can perceive. For example a piece of music or a picture in it's raw (original form) consists of elements we cannot (or almost cannot) hear or see. This data is "thrown away" in the encoding process of a lossy encoder (how much is thrown away off course is determined by the encoder settings). Now the thing with these lossy formats is that once you encoded a file into one of these formats you cannot get the original file back. Simply put mp3's will never be the exact same piece of music as the original.
Lossless: Lossless works in a similar way as the popular file compression formats like zip, rar, ace, 7-zip, ... . This means when you decompress one of those you always get the exact same file back again. Now maybe you're thinking : so why shouldn't I use zip, rar, ace, 7-zip, ... for compressing my wav files. Now this is where flac, monkey's audio, shorten, wavpack, ... comes in, it's compression methods are much more "tuned" towards music. This way they will give better results with this kind of data another plus is that most of them also have very good tagging capabilities giving them a further edge over the more general file compressors.
The reason why audiophiles want lossless is because it's the recording in it's absolute purist form with nothing "thrown away"... mp3's are good for listening to on an ipod or a small set of speakers but for people with higher end audio equipment mp3's start sounding kind of muddy and not as bright as a lossless source (in this case flac)
