WOW and just look how quickly they, Congress went after and rid themselves of the little guy ACORN by taking away their funds. While at the same time crooks like Phizer and Lockheed Martin can literally steel BILLIONS and Congress former President GWB barely bats an eye, amazing.

I wonder if Glen Beck and Hannity will take on this crusade....then again I seriously doubt it.

In terms of what and relative to who? If you're talking about Federal Funding, they are definitely "the little guy", relative to Lockheed and the other corporations mentioned in that article.

This came from the Washington Post today. Check yourself comparing $53 million since 1994 compared to BILLIONS with a B, Lockeed Martin which produces defective troublesome products like the new Presidential copters. Then YES I would call ACORN the little guys.

    Overruns Predicted on Presidential Copters

An internal Navy document shows new plans to replace the president's fleet of helicopters will cost taxpayers more and take years longer to deliver than a recently scrapped contract, a New York Democrat said.

Rep. Maurice Hinchey said the Pentagon's plan to abandon aircraft built by Lockheed Martin Corp. and buy a new fleet with similar capabilities at a cost of up to $22 billion for delivery as late as in 2024 is "beyond illogical." He represents the district where the helicopters are made.

A Lockheed spokesman directed questions to the Navy. A spokesman for the service did not return calls for comment.

In May, the military halted production of the helicopters at the Lockheed helicopter plant in Owego, N.Y. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the project, which had a $13 billion price tag, no longer met White House requirements.

Cost overruns and delays plagued Lockheed's helicopter program due partly to aggressive plans by the Bush administration to incorporate anti-missile defenses, communications equipment, hardened hulls and other advanced capabilities on the aircraft following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The funding issue likely will surface next week when House and Senate lawmakers meet to resolve differences over their respective defense spending bills.

A short toon on Acorn...........ACORN....Rises Again

Maybe this is what they should try to do and truly get the BIG funding. Wars seem to garner most of our funding, right!

Meanwhile, a recent federal audit of Blackwater, compiled by the State Department and the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction, suggests the company may have to repay some $55 million to the government for allegedly failing to meet the terms of just one federal contract in Iraq, which, it is important to note, is $2 million more than the total money allotted by the federal government to ACORN over the past 15 years. (The company also cannot account for one federally funded "deep fat fryer" in Iraq, according to the audit).

Overall, Blackwater has raked in well over $1 billion since 2003 in security contracts alone—all of which were kicked off by a fat no-bid contract to guard L Paul Bremer. Let’s also remember that Blackwater was estimated in Congressional hearings in 2007 to earn some 90% of its revenue from the federal government and Prince refused to disclose his salary, but said it was over $1 million. Blackwater has been or is being investigated by the US Congress, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, the Justice Department and the IRS, among other agencies, for a range of issues from arms smuggling to manslaughter to tax evasion. One of its operatives pleaded guilty to killing an innocent, unarmed Iraqi civilian, while five others have been indicted on manslaughter and other charges over the 2007 Nisour Square massacre during which 17 Iraqi civilians were gunned down. The company is also facing a slew of civil lawsuits alleging war crimes and extrajudicial killings in Iraq.

Here is a question for those Democratic lawmakers that voted in support of the Defund ACORN Act: How do you justify making this a major league legislative priority while Blackwater continues to be armed and dangerous across the globe on the US government payroll? Where is the Defund Blackwater Act?
