Does Rush Hour Exist Anymore?

It seems like the main arterial roads in Seattle are clogged from 6:30-11 then from 3-7. This gives only 4 outta 12 hours during the working hours where the roads are stress free.

do any roads exist in your area where they really suck for only 1 hour? Or even worse?

hahahahaha.yes, *rush hour* is more like horrendous traffic for 3-4 hours at a clip, with a small lull in the middle of the day. although even that, i find lunch hour can be busy too! even the sidewalks of NYC follow these congestion levels, not just the streets!

driving in seattle is the most frustrating thing for me!! even if there isn't really traffic...everyone drives so incredibly sloooow! all i'm asking for is at least 65 on the interstate...that's all. the blue haired ladies in south florida drive faster.

Hehe that's one thing I noticed in Seattle on my travels! That I-5 looks like it'd be hell to drive on (luckily, I was on a bus all the time!). Traffic in Dublin has died down a lot since the aul recession kicked in!

traffic here in teh NW chicago burbs, traffic sucks from about 5 to 6:15 then dies down. at least on my route. some other routes continue to suck after 6:30

now if you are talking about 290 into the city, it always backs up, no matter the day or time. rush hour forget about it.

I find that here in LA the only time I can drive without traffic is weeknights after 8, and some weekends at random times, otherwise there is ALWAYS traffic.

I was unemployed for 2 months last year, and I would try to do some car errands in the middle of the day. It was unbelievable! the roads were jammed at all times!

I've also wondered where all the traffic comes from at like 3 or 4pm. Who are all these people who are getting out work that early? they can't ALL be teachers...
