Can Kiss my fat ass!!!!!

For 6 months they have had signs posted all over work...

"If you are sick stay home"
"If you think you have the flu, then stay home"
"Do not come to work and spread your germs if you are sick, STAY HOME!!!!!"

Well, I am FUCKING SICK, and I am STAYING HOME!!!!!!!

When I called him this morning, to let him know I am missing another day, the little prick had an attitude with me. What The Fuck??? IM SICK!!!!!!

I never call in sick, I never miss work.....

IM FUCKING SICK!!!!!!

He can take his little attitude and shove it up his ass..........

    Exactly....

Actually I could do a lot worse....
But we dont need to discuss bodily functions.......

It just pisses me off, that they have the fucking nerve, to make someone feel fucking guilty, for being sick.

Sad world we live in. Betcha when he's sick he ain't there. If you'd shown up coughing and all, he'd wonder why you are there.

so tell your boss that you'll come in and spread germs and since you're not staying home letting the cold run it's course tell him you'll be sick for a month

I don't know.....thought you may have just added that bit for extra effect. You know when people are sick and they put a towel over their heads and hover over a bowl of steaming water etc etc. Who the fuck does that? I've never seen anyone in my life do that....yet people say they do? Hmmm.... :?

Jeeeez, give a girl a break! I NEVER call in sick, and I feel like shit about it and he's givin' me attitude? Fuck right off!

My boss called me into his office yesterday asking for an explanation of all the sick days and overtime in my division in September.

I politely pointed to the H1N1 warning sign posted on his office door that says...If you are sick, stay home.

Be careful what you wish for, right?

From a manager's perspective, I hate sick days tho... It's amazing how one person calling off, can throw a whole department out of whack for the day. Vacations are easy to plan/staff around, but when you walk and and find out someone is out, then everyone else has to scramble to cover everything.

Being sick is one thing that you can't plan, but I always tell my people that if you want to use one just because you want a day off, I don't care, they're your days, at least try to tell me ahead of time.

They should change them to personal days, that way people don't feel awkward giving notice.

When I worked for UPS the manager always gave shit when you called in sick. That & "extended weekends" ( Monday's & Fridays ) also caused grief. We had 6 sick days, after all the bullshit I decided to call in sick on Monday's & Wednesdays for 3 days straight ( real long weekends ;) ). 1st day I would call & say I was coming down with something, next day sick & 3rd day better, but not well enough to work; cough, cough  . They actually felt sorry for me then. My 2nd life I work for the NYFD, unlimited sick leave but never called in sick. Did seem to get hurt at work though. Now, NO MORE WORK! NO MORE BOSSES & NO MORE BULLSHIT!!! Every day is a Holiday 8-) . It's good to be alive.
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)
    What You Giving

that's a great gig if you can manage it, most of us can't. still, good to be alive.

when i taught we were given a specific amount of sick days, but dare use them! i used to feel quite guilty calling out b/c as the art teacher, they rarely replaced me, which meant the kids missed art, the other teachers missed their prep periods. however, after the first year or two, i realized....wtf?! everyone else used their sick time sans guilt, so will i! i mean, especially when you work with kids, germs spread like wildfire!

nowadays i work in the corporate world and we have unlimited sick leave. from what i've seen in my group, it is not abused. i am sure we all at one point or another take a 'mental health day' and i always call out att the end of busy season b/c i am wrecked, but otherwise, only when i am truly sick. thus far, seems no issues. i think they far rather you take care of yourself when you can, so you are on top of your game when we really ARe busy. now sure, i was sick as a dog last year during busy season, and i did NOT call out...simply b/c that's impossible. so yes, i believe my partners do see all this and appreciate it. i think having unlimited sick leave actually makes it less prone to abuse than the idea of i have X amount of days i 'must' use up.

    speedy, feel better!
