Ban all flags, flagpoles, ballons and anything else that can block a view of someone who has a great spot but can't see their heroes because of this stuff. I know there will be some folks on here I upset but man what is the purpose for allowing those? I know why folks use them but it seemed to be really a hindrance to most. It looked like a NASCAR race and I overheard MANY folks complaining. I was not far back at all but was relegated to watching the screens because there were so many flags and signs blocking direct view of Eddie and the boys. For the most part I was just rocking out knowing at festivals unless you get there early and establish a front row spot you won't see much. But I got there around 1:30, got a nice spot and still didn't see much for all the flying objects. Oh well that was my only small complaint. Everything else could not have been more perfect!!

I was more upset that the ACL folks didn't do anything about the mud at the high traffic areas after Sat night. I figured we'd show up on Sun and see wood chips, hay, straw etc down by the food court and at the main stage but nope...nothing. The only place they put anything down were the areas where security had to walk at the front of the stages. The flags were small potatoes compared to the muddy swamp we had to stand in all day long on Sunday.

No I think all need to be left at home. The stage from my viewpoint was like 'stage' then 'flag' then 'stage' then 'flag'...they were all small. I get what they are used fo but figure something else out....like a cell phone which worked all day just fine. Or travel with your group or meet somewhere designated. I sure don't remeber Lollapalooza (when it was a traveling gig) letting those in. And video of other festivals oversees never has them either. It was just out of control.

I agree, some maintenance could have been done on the ground. It is like they just said 'fuck it' and let it be. For such a well-run event I am a little surprised these elements have not been addressed.

Why is this request posted here?

No one here has anything to do with organizing ACL.
