From someone who calls himself just a casual fan:

"That show was literally A HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE, right up there with a safari in Africa, swimming next to sea turtles, falling in love, and running a marathon."

  • Seems like they really tore it up. My sister was there and said it was unbelieveable!

I was there at ACL, and Pearl Jam COMPLETELY DESTROYED!!! I’m not even a huge fan — I’ve always liked and respected Pearl Jam, but I was simply not ready for what they delivered (and I saw them in Chicago at Lollapalooza). That show was literally A HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE, right up there with a safari in Africa, swimming next to sea turtles, falling in love, and running a marathon. It was a gift, and I’m still in a daze. Wow.

    PRICELESS !!!!!!!!!! ...... :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: HE SAID SEA TURTLES :lol::lol::lol::lol:

It fills me up with pride to hear the casual fan just gush over what I've know for 18 years. It's like I'm related to the band and am so SO proud of them. Kinda weird...but not at the same time.

I tell people all the time how good they are live...I even play boots for them but until they see it foe themselves they can't understand my obsession for the live performances. 18 years ago this band changed my life for the better and I love seeing the accolades come their way because they fucking have earned it.

The best live band on the planet today...HANDS DOWN. Maybe even the best of all-time...right there with THE Who.

Way to go boys! I'll catch you in LA and SD.

I was there... right in front. Killer show for sure. In fact Eddie sounded better than I have ever heard him. I was REALLY surprised. The song selection was mostly the big hits and older stuff. I would have liked to have heard more from Backspacer. The highlight for me was Red Mosquito and Ben Harper. I've seen them 5 times over the years and this was by far the most energetic I've ever seen them. It seemed like they had A LOT to prove.

BTW - Eddie apologized for not coming back to Austin since 1995. Also, I never would have pegged this... Eddie's favorite stool since '95 and the one on every solo tour has a BIG TEXAS LONGHORN SYMBOL. UT #1 BABY!

    No joke!
  • i drove 1500 miles, waited around in the front row in the mud and heat and vomit for 10 hours, and rocked the fuck out to the hardest setlist i ever heard.

thanks PJ. at the end of my life this will probably be in the top 3 moments in my life.

I just got home from ACL and it was fucking epic! I was about 10ft from the front, stood in the mud for 5 straight hours, but it was so worth it! I've seen 7 PJ shows since 98 and this one tops my list easily. So glad I stuck it out, hope you guys had fun! By the way I was the very tall guy in the mad season shirt :D

  • Best trip ever! One of my buddies passed out and pissed himself during the Jonas Brothers, I mean The Kings of Leon, and we had to drag him out of the crowd. He is now Pee Pee Pants. Then to highlight the trip, we ended up about 7 rows back to see PJ rock the fuck out. I saw them twice at the United Center this year, which was magical, but Pj knows how to make a festival setlist. Pearl Jam packed more energy in the two hours they played than the entire festival had over 3 days. We had three bottles of wine that maybe lasted into the 5th song.

    Thanks PJ!

I just got home from my own personal pj tour; Shepard's Bush to Chicago and then Seattle to Austin, I had the time of my life!! I never thought at this stage in my life that I would be so consumed by a band, but pj drives me. I can't get enough, I feel so lucky for what I got to do and see and on the other hand so incredibly sad because it's all over for me.

Thank you so much pearl jam, tenclub and pj fans. You just gave me the time of my life with the icing on the cake being Austin. I could never say thank you enough, now I have to find a way to pay this great adventure forward and make someone elses dreams come true!

Thank you thank you thank you!!! From a lady in Indiana whose mind is completly blown!

For real. Epic Show! I've got my boots in the garage with mud. They are going to stay that way for a very long time. 8-)

As for the headliner … wow! Maybe it was the fact that I had not seen Pearl Jam since 1992, maybe I was overwhelmed with nostalgia … whatever the case, Pearl Jam blew me away. Hands down, best headliner ever. C3 may have to coax an incredible performance out of Radiohead at some point if this headlining performance is ever to be topped. Vedder’s voice and presence were as strong as ever, and his gratitude to the fans and the city was touching. I had no idea Mike McCready was that fine of a guitar player. His solos had me cupping my ears to increase the volume.
