Austin City Limits Festival Bootleg?

edited October 2009 in The Porch
Pardon me if this has been covered somewhere (I didn't see it after doing a search), but does anyone know if the ACL Festival show will be available as a bootleg thru Ten Club? I wasn't sure if it might not be because it's a festival show (can't remember what happened with other recent festival boots).

  • Great. Do you think they'll excise the Mountain Song for any reason? I know some of the older boots available for free download from Target were missing some covers.
  • yeah, that is what I was going to say. May want to see if you can get an answer from Santos.

That's just because they were free. I don't foresee any reason that it would be left off the ones they are selling.
  • i really want this one.

I really hope there is an official boot. they have sold festival shows before (As mentioned above). The only thing that I am concerned about is when they announced the 2009 boots and program they said not all shows will be available. That has me going WTF and I hope that we got an ACL boot. That show was epic.

Aren't ACL and Lollapalooza run through the same promoters? They usually have the live stuff available on itunes, like PJ in 2007

There will be one. Just be patient. Calgary and SF had boots as did Lolla in '07. We'll get ours.

Yeah, that could be. They are both run by C3, and there are some ACL boots available on iTunes. Though none of 2009 Lolla boots are up on iTunes yet...who knows if they're doing it this year.

The show kicked ass. I was right in front and I've never seen them with such energy and smiles. I've seen 4-5 shows and this one kicked ass. Very tight and LOUD! Red Mosquito was SICK!
  • I couldn't agree more with the comments in this thread! That show was amazing and lived up to all the personal hype I have been building up since the ACL schedule was released

i have a very strong feeling that it will be. they've released other festival bootlegs & this show was HUGE. i think they have an idea just how much the fans down here have missed them....it'll come out soon. in the meantime, so what i've been doing...relive it on YouTube!

  • oof. i cant watch those crappy youtube videos. lol.

seeing them at acl has done one thing for me though. it made me realize just how much i missed seeing them live. it had be a long 6 years, as it was for a lot of us. so ive decided i might have to jump on a plane or two next year / tour. ive allready started a tour fund.

Amen to the tour fund and the boot of this show! It was a LONG 6 years and so worth it. This is one Texas stop that will be remembered and talked about for a long long while. Lets please keep this thread bumped and updated so we know when the recording surfaces (if not official). The wait made the show even more special I think honestly. I agree with the songs sounding fresh and just everything was perfect. What a great night of kick ass rock and roll by PJ.

Had a blast. I think I saw a few of you too during the day . Sorry I didn't come say hi.

  • i hope there is a decent bootleg out there regardless. i had a rough boot of Bonnaroo that sounded great (in some cases much better than the official one). can't find it now.
