Hey PJ fans. I am headed to the show on Friday and was hoping you all could give me some tips on things to do in San Diego. I might want to play some golf as I am bringing my wrenches. Can anyone recommend some reasonably priced tracts? (Not to expensive..economy issues here). How about tailgating? What is that scene like? Where are the hot places to be? I like to have some "sodas" before the show. Can I carry my "soda" around or do I need to have some of those plastic cups? Are there any restaurants near the arena that have a special where I can get something to eat and a ride to the show? What about other restaurants? Any good steak places? Seafood?

Looking forward to a great show and some decent weather.

  • Hi guys. This is Frank in Phoenix. I'm thinking of driving over to SD on Friday cuz my dumbass is finally coming to the realization that the boys are REALLY going to skip over the desert this tour. I thought for sure they'd squeeze us in during those open weeks mid-month but apparantly not. Anyway, I've seen them at SD State before years ago and it was great but obviously at this late date I have no tix. If I'd known they were blowing off AZ I'd have got some 10C tickets when the date was announced but.... Anyway if anybody has a couple, my brother and I would give you above and beyond plus buy you some late lunch + inbibements!!! I know, I hate beggers too. But I hate scalpers more. Tell us where and when to meet you. Anybody showing some love???... frankwheeler [and brother Greg].

frankwheeler--have you checked ticketmaster? Last time I checked, there were behind the stage seats available. A few days before a show, TM usually drops other seats so keep checking.

hammartime--use a starbucks or similar style of coffee cup for your 'juice'.

Golf-Torrey Pines is a must, tough to get on sometimes. Eagle Point? is another, Eagle something, it's been 8-9 years. Most diverse is Steele Canyon, 27 holes, all different. They were all under $80 at the time.
If you only have time/cash to play one, make it Torrey Pines South.
Hit em well, enjoy the show :D

it's a loooooooong course ... especially the holes playing into the wind ...

i played one called east lake? Anyhoo - it was a decent track at a decent price but it had like $10 replays. This was some years ago so not sure ow relevant that is.
