Califone 1450K Turntable

Greetings....I am a former DJ and love vinyl. I have 2 Technics 1200 turntables and love them, but I wanted something kind of vintage with a built in speaker to listen to my rock albums and PJ singles in my living room; so I bought a Califone 1450K turntable on Ebay. First off, I love it! I just got Quadrophenia on vinyl in mint condition, dirt cheap and love it! My question is: there is a "external speaker" port on the turntable for hooking up additional speakers if wanted. I plugged my headphones into this for the "headphone experience" and found that it's only in MONO or the left speaker channel. I wanted to know if there is any way I can have this converted to be in stereo, meaning, re-wired or something so that I can enjoy the albums also in headphones with both the right and left signals?

If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated
