Olympics in Chicago 2016????

I hope Chicago doesnt get the Olympic bid today.....

These crooked pieces of shit that run this city couldnt manage a fucking little league team...

What makes them think they can put together the summer Olympics in 2016???

If the do get it though....Instead of holding the marathon on Lake Shore Drive....

They could just have all the runners circle Oprah's gynormous buttcheeks 5 times....

That has to be close to 26.5 miles.....
Take me piece by piece.....

    Oprah I really can't stand her geez her comment this am shows its all about herself and the other multibillionaires.
    When asked what the Olympics would mean to Chicago she doesn't relate something intelligent like it will help the city and its people during these tough times or even help the whole country etc etc she says its gonna be a non stop party for 7 years- maybe for her and her rich buds.

    And she was awful overconfident which was embarrassing for us and a put down for the others acting like it was in the bag for the US cause her and her power group was there. I want it for Chicago but think Rio deserves it maybe.
    Being from Atlanta we thought it would be a pain in the ass but actually everybody left town and traffic was a breeze.
    I guess we'll know soon

    on one hand, it would have created a ton of construction jobs and hopefully would have been good for an upgraded L, but at the end of the day, there would have been so much coruption and pissed away money. and yeah, it would have been cool to see the olympics first hand. well, at least the marathon, doubt i could afford to see any of the real events.

    thank you IOC for knocking Chicago out first. :lol:

    hehehehehe...that's so funny. But you did get your wish, first city gone, my sister lives in Toronto, and she was so happy when they were eliminated for the 2012 games, she had read about what a nightmare the city becomes with all the people, you can't get around the city at all.

    The politicians promise everyone and their mother a job in the city if they vote for them.....

    The garbagemen??? You can find them in the local tavern getting smashed.....as your garbage piles up in the alley...

    The city and street workers.......There are 5-7 of them spending 4 hours staring at a pothole on the street......but yet the pothole is still there the next day.....

    The Chicago Police....If they are not hanging out with the garbagemen in the bar, getting drunker than hell.....They are out extorting money from the drug dealers......Or they are dealing the drugs themselves....

    no shit. Most of these big international events are scams, and the only reason a city tries to get them is to get additional funding for infrastructure and entertainment/sports facility projects. They project modest profits, but inevitably have massive budget overruns that make construction/engineering/security firms money hand over fist, and leave the taxpayers with huge debts....not to mention the environmental impact.
    besides....the US has already had what, three oly's in the last 25 years? Isn't it supposed to be a global thing?
