    sure...you're the boss!

Does the family leave you something in the oven to warm up?

  • Yes every night... Can't leave yet

Why do I put up with this shit?

because you actually enjoy what you do and you know that you are providing your family everything they could possibly want...and more.

Is that at least close to the truth?

  • Yeah that about sums it up... but it's unbelievably stressful...

Do you get stress and depressed often?

  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
I did....I was really the 'oh whatever don't stress, we can fix it' kind of person, and the rest of the people I worked with were all like crazy chickens and started yelling and screaming at me, demanding the impossible...when all you hear all day is complaining and screaming=not good.....now that I have so much free time, I'm relaxing, taking my time to do things and when we visited friends recently, one said that I 'look really really good' and 'something is different...for the better'. I just said, 'no more stress' :D (I can see why it's hard for you to quit smoking though!)

When was the last time you had an actual 'relaxing/decompress' vacation? (where nobody from work was bugging you?)

  • Oooooooooooh about 20 years ago

What would you do if you found out that your boss had meetings with your direct reports (I have a little problem with that) and that in that meeting one of your direct reports had very negative things to say about you (because he wants your job)? However you were not supposed to know that happened?

Do you give your direct reports reviews/feedback sessions? If so ask if this person is satisfied with what they are doing, ask if there is anything you can do to help them reach their goals, or possibly hint to that direct report that there may be/are some qualities that need to be worked on to be able to advance in the company? That's a tough one!

Is that too 'corporate nicey nice' or not back stabbing enough? (I quit working corporate for a reason!)

  • Too nice...

What did you do in corporate world? (and I am heading down to limo, will pick this up in a minute)

:| no wonder they didn't like me...
I worked for a big wireless company that has the monopoly on the iphone, and worked in the corporate accounts department. Billing, and customer service for the corporate managers. Decent health benefits, free everything for the cell phones...I got so many free cell phones, and I had 3G/GSM service before they rolled it out to the public. If I knew how to play the game, I'd prob still be there....

Where are you off to Mr. Limo?

Ucluelet and Tofino, B.C. or South Island New Zealand. I get to one far more frequently than the other :D

    What's your favourite vacation spot?

  • Very rarely go to one place over and over. I do find myself going to Vegas a lot and NYC. So much to do in those places. I like to go to Nat'l parks where I can get out and explore or anywhere that is in another country.

Why isn’t there mouse-flavored cat food?

It used to be Vermont but we're thinking of going to the mountains of North Carolina this summer.

Do you prefer mountains, beaches, or cities for a vacation?

Why not all three justam? You can do that in some places :P

Do you burn incense? If so, what's your favourite smell/type?

I like any re-telling of A Christmas Carol. I don't know why. It's been my favorite since I was a kid. The first one I ever saw was the Disney one with Donald Duck as Scrooge.

    What about you?
