What was for dinner?

I made a Potato and leek stew with beans, lentils etc in it. I made some cheesy marmitey toast to go with it. Unfortunately I was so hungry waiting for the stew to cook as I'd forgotten to soak the beans that I ate all the toast. Then the beans still tasted manky so I ended up having a bowl of cereal. Hubby said it was ok and ate it, but I think he was being kind, (our son had a friend round so they had pizza)

Used to go out every week but now funds are low, probably a few weeks ago for something cheap. Having more take-aways at peoples houses now. It's enough of a treat not having to cook, especially considering tonights disaster.

Had a few very frosty mornings, but no snow. Plenty of rain though so should be very green next year.

Is there skiing in Enlgand?

There's a place on the Pennine fells that has a lift, but it's a bit rubbish. Most people in our area will nip over the border to Scotland. We went to the French Alps in Feb, hubby and son are great skiers, I'm rubbish, but I had a fab time gliding down the green runs. I was on blades and there was one route that I loved, in summer it's a road that goes over the mountain into Italy, so every day I would go up there slide down through the trees, have a hot chocolate, go back to the top, slide back down again, have a hot chocolate ....... it was beautiful and peaceful and I wish we were going back this year. Before I started waffling on I should have said that we do have dry slopes and some indoor slopes dotted around the country. Where I live there's enough snow to go sledging a few times a year.
