    Mac! Mac! Mac!

I use mind for email, photo stuff, music library, posting here, etc. I don't use it for work unless I'm on call and have no other alternative. I like to keep my happy computing separate from my work computing.

    First laptop you ever had?

it's a great deal and I'm wondering if I should wait to see if it drops more in price or just buy it now....

I would get it now. I believe delayed gratification is overrated.

    PD: "Modern Family."

Can somebody help me screen these reports? I have 24 left.

Indoors until April, I'm afraid. Although we did have a trial when we had a hard frost and there was ice on the teeter (seesaw). The judge invoked the right to allow more than the standard course time to be sure everyone was safe. There are lots of trials all year round in these parts, no slow season although I don't tend to do a ton of them in July and August.

    Anything good on TV tonight?

ooOOoo yes I will... was wondering when 'those' threads would be locked!

When you use the same recipe to make two cakes, same tin, oven at same temperature, same time cooking, would you not expect them to turn out the same?
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
baking has to do all with chemistry...one batter may have been stirred a bit more than the other, so that minor difference would result in a drastically different outcome....(yes I know cuz it's happened to me)

Did one come out all wonky?

Nah... came out fine but one rose a bit more than the other, one is a bit more 'packed' than the other, etc. I'm making a tiered cake and up to now made 4 cakes, all coming out differently!

Do you want to bring your BD here? I could do with one.
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
    sure... :hands a bottle over:

I suppose it does not matter too much about the rising part, as you're gonna slice off the bump anyway ...right?

Yeah, but I meant overall rising.

Why do you know about cakes? Do you bake? Or just eat them?
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
    I bake...more than I cook

    Got a question?
