    Sailor is the boss and spends a lot of time restoring order when Sweet Pea (the big bitch) and Tessie (the little bitch) start spatting with each other. Neither of them ever dare to spat with him, though.

    Do you find it fascinating how they work those kinds of things out for themselves?

    Yes, mainly because of the cost of some of the big ticket items. Unfortunately we didn't have it when our original dog, the Late, Great Seamus, tore his cruciate and needed major reconstructive surgery to the tune of $2,500 (several years ago). Mostly I figure it's insurance that nothing will go wrong! I worry since two of my three are heavily into competition agility and despite the most careful plans, things can happen...

    BD: Just booked at Nantucket trip for mini getaway in two weeks. We'll be out there for five days. $446 for the ferry for the two of us and the car :shock: . Really glad they don't charge for the dogs!
