Typically the morning (workdays) but a Saturday evening one? Heaven.

Are those Helpful Honda Dealer commercials irritating as hell?

I think so. They try to make it look like a surprise but it's manufactured.

Would being an anonymous philanthropist be the shit - in a good way?

(it's one of my many fantasies)

(and I also just thought of that Curb episode)

    Yes!

The American History X curb episode we just talked about is the one you are thinking of or another curb scene? :i_dunno:

Is there a movie so completely disturbing that you love and you know that in some small way you shouldn't?

I meant the Larry David version of Curb (your enthusiasm) =) There was an ep with Ted Danson about donating, anonymity, recognition for it and the like.

And yes, Natural Born Killers. An absolutely sick, twisted and beautiful film.

A question, Jedi Hedo. You forgot one. :nuh_uh:

Gah! This is why I tend to lurk on these threads :bee:

So here's one - did you see the story of the shelter pooch who got adopted via the video of him begging for belly rubs? (apologies for the ad that precedes it)

I had not seen it before.

Have you seen the video of the corgi pup being vexed by a mini pumpkin?

Yes, and it's worth watching again.

    (I could EAT HIM UP)

Are you a fan of dressing animals up for Halloween (assuming they're cool with it)?

Well, I once dressed our terrier up as a horse when my daughter was young. She was dressed as a rider, the dog had a tiny saddle and bridle, and I dressed up as a bale of hay.

What's the best costume you've ever worn?

Pic? =) I can see it in my mind.

I did a Bride of Frankenstein thing ages ago. Two cans of Aquanet to get my hair to stand up. Just don't have the patience for that anymore.

Are you luxuriating with some wine at the moment?

Why yes, I am. I may in fact luxuriate further in a hot bath in a bit.

Are you a bit puzzled why some threads go on and on, gathering speed (perhaps someone is fucking with them?), and others just don't??

I think some just run out of gas. Others are like FMC (out on the road and line-high).

    Might someone sleep well tonight?

    Some might.

Do you have a favourite tea?

I'm a fan of really spicy chai. No milk. Straight up with just a lil raw sugar. Green tea with lemon is also delicious.

    Hot or cold tea?

Hot. And my favorite flavors from the Tea Cupboard downtown are Monk's Blend (green flavored w/blackcurrant & vanilla), Lady Londonderry (black fw strawberry & lemon), and a Masala Chai Rooibos.

I need a better tea steeper, what should I get? (I have one of those steel mesh tea balls, not a fan of it.)

Hmm... I know a guy who does some kick ass pottery. I might ask him to make something like this. Reminds me, I need to find out when he has another show.

Did you prefer Nestle Quik powder or Hershey's syrup to make chocolate milk as a kid (or now for that matter)?

When I was a kid, I used quik...the square jar with the funky metal lid that you had to use your spoon to open.

Ever have that cocoa that comes from the machine and is amazing? (no matter what I do, I cannot make it to be the same)

I've never found cocoa from a machine to be amazing. It's always too sweet.

Should I go to all of the scheduled talks today or should I skip out?
